Job Purpose: The Taphouse Team Member aka: Final Draft Taphouse Brand & Craft Beer Ambassador will be responsible for exceeding our guests’ expectations by creating an exceptional taphouse experience by providing 5-star service, guiding them through the craft-beer menu and helping them make craft-beer selections, engaging with them about craft beer/craft-beer culture and their ‘story’, promoting an understanding and appreciation of the art/science and culture of craft beer, promoting our unique offerings, and inviting them to be part of our community.

Duties and responsibilities: 

·     Acknowledge and welcome guests to the taphouse in a warm and positive way where guests feel at home and always welcome. 

·     Engage with guests to create a 5-star experience by guiding them through our craft beer menu, sharing craft-beer knowledge with them to ensure they choose the best beer selection for them, specialty beers on tap.

·     Engage and connect with guests about craft beer breweries/craft-beer culture and learning about their ‘story’, promoting an understanding and appreciation of the art/science and culture of craft beer, promoting our unique offerings, and inviting them to be part of our community.

·     Relay information about beer styles and help guide guests through the sensory experience.

·     Pour and serve beer correctly

·     Prepare food items according to preparation standards with all safety and food safety top of mind

·     Adhere to safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service policies and procedures 

·     Accurately handle cash and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system. 

·     Prepare to-go beer including online orders. 

·     Change kegs and update POS and Untappd menus

·     Perform opening and/or closing duties for the taphouse 

·     Sweeping/mopping of floors, cleaning of windows, tables, chairs, bar area, kitchen, sinks, etc. 

·     Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms before, during and after shifts, ensuring all supplies are fully stocked 

·     Remove garbage and recycling.

·     Answer guests’ questions and/or concerns and confidently works to resolve customer issues/complaints.

·     Monitor the actions of guests on a continuous basis to ensure safety; addresses any issues directly, then reports any potential issues to management 

·     Follow all safety procedures and SOPs and wear safety, personal protective equipment (PPE) when required 

·     Willingness to perform other tasks as requested.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

·     Be a beer enthusiast, passionate about craft beer 

·     Have a positive attitude and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills 

·     Be at least 21 years of age

Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a bartending/serving role. Brewery or taphouse experience preferred. (This is NOT an entry level position).

Job Type: Part-time – Must be available to work 2 to 4 shifts on weekdays and weekends. 

Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience, beer knowledge and ability to deliver on the Final Draft Taphouse brand promise.

Update Beer Friends!!

Masks are no longer required at Final Draft Taphouse. Washington has lifted the required mask mandate, and we are ready to move forward in this next step and enjoy this next phase and see your smiling faces!! With that said, we encourage everyone to do what they feel most comfortable with, and if that is wearing a mask, do that. We may even do that from time to time in order to ensure the comfort of everyone!

Beyond the Darkness I 2nd Annual SW WA Dark Beer Week - Feb. 18 to 27, 2022

Hey Beer Friends….Beyond the Darkness is back for 2022!

Together, let's celebrate and explore dark beers and show some love to your local craft breweries and taprooms to help them push through Beyond The Darkness!

In celebration of the Brewers Association's Stout Month across the US, the Northbank Brewers Alliance, Final Draft Taphouse, Visit Vancouver USA & ZZeppelin are proud to present a weeklong celebration of dark beers! From toasty to roasty, from decadent to easy-drinking, from rich to subtle... dark beers take on a wide range of flavors worthy of being explored in-depth.

Here's what to do:
Pick up a passport at any participating SW Washington brewery or taproom (full list in an image below). Then visit your favorite breweries and taphouses for their dark beers and get a stamp or sign-off on your card! You'll earn entries for some AMAZING prizes with exponential multipliers for the more venues you visit! Keep reading for all the prizes and info on how to enter!

Grab your shades, don your Hawaiian shirts and board shorts (sorry, please no actual bathing suits!), and throw on your flip-flops, we are turning Saturday, January 29 into a summer, beach party with SEVERAL SOURS on draft!

We will be featuring barrel-aged sours, some summer-themed activities, some-make-us-dream-of-summer giveaways, and will even be turning the heat up to get us warmed up!

Hey Beer Friends….We are excited to announce that we are opening on Mondays again as of Monday, January 17, 2022! Join us on a Monday and/or any day of the week as of next week!

Our hours will be Monday-Sunday 3 to 9 pm!

Sunday and Mondays will be a limited snack menu, for now. Tuesday through Saturday will be a full food menu. As always, we have lots of craft beer, craft cider, craft seltzer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy while you relax after work, hang with friends, or come in and meet new friends!

Hey Beer Friends…. Happy almost 2022! Here are our hours for New Year’s

We will be open late on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the turn of the year together! Plan to hang with us for a chill, New Year’s Eve night! Hours will be 3 pm to 12:15 am right after the ball drops and we toast to 2022!

New Year’s Day, we will be open from 1 to 5 pm for some hair-of-the-dog beers AND 2022 Draft Society Memberships Go On Sale on January 1, 2022!

We will be open regular hours again starting Sunday, January 2.
